While users can move focus to EditLive! simply by clicking or tabbing into the editor, web developers may also want to programmatically focus the editor. This can be useful for controlling the default focus point when a new editor is loaded or to provide a particular keyboard shortcut that focuses the editor.
While there’s no officially designed API to do this, it can be achieved by calling the focusGained method on the applet:
Note that you’ll need to change “name_elj” to be the name you passed to the EditLiveJava constructor with “_elj” appended.
